IT'S SUNDAY - 10/12 - What's new with you???
Good morning everyone. I can't believe it is 7:30 AM and no one has started the thread. It is a great day. Hope everyone is doing fine.
We had a great day with the Rangers groups yesterday.
At the Ballpark, we were served a good lunch. Nolan Ryan beef burgers and hot dogs. Delicious. With the fixin's. Pickles, tomatoes, etc. Cookies, chips. Water or soda.
Played Texas Hold 'Em. Came in 3rd place in chips for the day. There were prizes for the top 5. We got to draw envelopes. I drew a $10 gift card for Starbucks. It was more than I went in with. The guy after me got 4 Dallas Stars tickets. Missed by that much.
Then they had door prizes. I won 4 movie passes to a Cinemark theater.
We then went to the Rangers Women's Club Banquet. We all received engraved key rings (guests too). We also received baseball shaped planters as we left.
A wonderful day spent with my wonderful wife.

Hi George and Everyone,
Sounds like you had alot of fun! I think hamburgers are one of my very favorite foods. We watched the poker tournaments on the Travel Channel last night, too. I like Texas Hold 'Em. You did great!
Nothing much new today. Going to run to WalMart for some yarn. I have a baby shower to go to in November so I need to get going on a baby blanket. I sewed a bunch of burb cloths yesterday. I had made them for my daughter-in-law and she loved them so much I figure this mother-to-be will too.
Absolutely nothing much else to share except have a great Sunday!

I am sitting here with the biggest, most aromatic mess on my desk and bedroom floor. My big booboo and Tom will have to clean it up, probably hours of work ahead of him.
My scented candle had no more wick but plenty of good smelling wax. I put it on the warmer, which is meant to heat special wax with a votive candle. It has worked well for a couple of days.
As I sat here, I heard a loud CRACK and wax spilled all over! It oozed on the desk top, down the front and over the hardwood floor ... just missing my foot and computer.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/eek.gif)
Me oh my, I won't ever do that again. Sure smells good in here though.

I had the same thing happen to me with a candle warmer. I stopped using the flat ones and switched to the warmers that look like small crock pots. They're made specifically for candles, and they come in several sizes, and IF the candle holder should break (and they do, as you've unfortunately discovered), the mess stays inside the holder and isn't too hard to clean up.
Just for future reference...
This may be the last beautiful weekend we have this year. In the 70's both days. I got a late start yesterday, but still managed to get about 4 hours in, cleaning up the yard and cutting back the perennials for the winter. I hope to get out earlier today, and finish up the cutting back process, and maybe (definitely MAYBE!) do a little Fall weeding so I don't have as big a mess facing me in the Spring. Not sure if I have that much ambition today. Prolly not....
Other than that, I'll be cooking for the week, hopefully baking some Healthy muffins, and cleaning up the kitchen. That's enough amition for me on a sunny Sunday.
Thinking of you all, and wishing I was in Frankenmuth with the sistahs!

Good Morning All!
Didn't have a server last 2 days so was cut off from my family here.
Bought some clothes yesterday to wear this wk in Madison but didn't try them on at the store cuz they "looked" like they'd fit...too big! Not a bad thing. So I'm heading back to the store in a minute to exchange for smaller sizes. Since I'm always in scrubs for work and have wear-around-the-house-type clothes I needed a couple items that were more business appropriate.
I know they won't fit for very long but I found a great deal and won't be a waste when they get too big.
Have a great week All and I'll try to check in later this wk.

Oh, wanted to add something...I found those B-12 dots at Walmart and they are very similar to the ones I bought at Swansons. I'm still looking for Calcium Citrate in a liquid form or that I can mix with liquid.

Alice, I thought I'd NEVER get to the point of being able to stand calcium citrate in any form. Liquid just gagged me even when mixed with other things. Finally gave myself a good talking to and after a couple of years of trying other things including non "citrate" which my head knows is not what I need I finally "just do it" as the saying goes. I'm using Walmart Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D. Big tablets. Much less expensive than "name" brands. At first I broke them in half. Now I just swallow them with a drink of water and I'm doing fine. This is just one of those things necessary to maintain my health so I'll do what it takes. However, that being said it has taken me a couple of years to get to this point. Now my supplements are kind of like putting on my glasses or my clothes. Necessary and done without a bunch of fuss! Good luck in your search. Don't give up we want you to stay healthy.

Good Morning George and the rest of my OFF Family!
Sounds like you got a lot of stuff yesterday and had a great day with your wife too, she is a lucky woman from the sounds of it!
Well I've been a busy bee this weekend and still have more to do, but I've been pacing myself since I've had the whole house to myself this weekend, with my roommate off to a retreat. I redid my front lawn on Friday with the help of a good friend, yesterday I attended a meeting to discuss becoming a support group leader where I had my surgery, did some errands, went to my AA women's group, did some laundry. Today I've already vacuumed the entire house, am about to wash the floors, clean the bathroom and hang new curtains in two rooms, then I will mow the backyard, after which I will go out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having here in the Northeast, and with that in mind, I'd better get off this computer and get busy ;)
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts for all, Laureen

Hi All,
My plans for today- box up things from the kitchen cabinets, FOUR loads of laundry, and clean up the contractor's mess under the newly installed sinks in our two bathrooms. I don't know what he used to seal the pipes, but it looks like little black insect eggs- ewwwwww. I also need to clear my closet once again of too large clothing... I also need to put away all of my capris and shorts, except for a few to take to Grand Cayman in TWO WEEKS! I hear that it is at least 80 degrees day and night and that I won't need much in the way of clothing! It is definitely Fall in California. It is getting cold at night and I need to put the comforter back on our bed or I will not be sleeping very well at all. I tossed and turned last night because I was just not cozy warm. My legs have been acheing at night since it got cold- anyone else having this happen? I need to Google it and see if I'm low on a vitamin or something. Hope you all have a terrific Sunday!

Hello all!
This was my last Sunday service "off" The Grandkids were here so I just was lazy and spent time with them. This afternoon at 3 is Christmas Play practice and since I am the director I will be attending. this is my first "official" act. I go into the office tomorrow morning to wade through the stack of mail, and email and all the stuff that needs to be done. YUCK!
Hope everyone have a very good Sunday!
